Tony Gandel

Tony began his career working in marketing at Cadbury’s. After a few years, he moved to the Gandel Group and worked in the shopping centre and retirement village sectors. Initially starting at the bottom, after many years, Tony became the joint Managing Director of Vicinity Shopping Centres, a position he held for 11 years. He left Vicinity around 2008 and formed Gandel Invest. Tony enjoyed investing and working with entrepreneurs to grow their businesses and has had several successful exits. In 2021, Tony’s focus shifted towards disruptive, early stage technology ‘growth’ businesses and has expanded the portfolio significantly. Tony enjoys the business journey from investing to partnering, mentoring to growing and hopefully to success. Tony has a Bachelor of Business and an MBA.
